Mid heels

The name says it all. Mid heels have become popular in the past two years and they’ve taken over every major couture and high street brand. From Karl Lagerfeld who, in his workshop called Chanel, created that gorgeous black-and-cream verion as an ode to the one and only Coco Chanel to Nicolas Ghesquiere’s pointy version for Louis Vuitton, mid heels can be seen combined with almost every clothing piece.

My favorite model, by far, is the lace up mid heels (the above shown Bionda Castana model and Aquazzura Belgravia model). Lace up heels, in general, are a must have for every fashionista. Just take one look at Olivia Palermo and Joan Smalls, you’ll see what I’m talking about. They are comfortable because of the lower heel, which I think is their best quality, and can be worn with dresses, jeans, skirts and overalls, to work or to a day in the city. The possibilities are endless. Maybe that’s what made them ‘Oh so popular’!

Here are some of the available models from high street stores which are my best picks!

Tell me, do you approve of this shoe trend and which model do you like the most?
